According to Vastu Shastra, Four golden guidelines to follow while purchasing a property
Let’s focus on five fundamental Vastu Shastra guidelines that property purchasers may examine on their own to make sure their home is Vastu compliant.
Everyone wants to acquire a home that will bring them happiness, calm, and good feelings while they are living there. It is thought that a residence that follows Vastu Shastra guidelines would offer its residents good fortune. Vastu is all about bringing engineering, optics, acoustics, and spirituality together. The Four fundamental guidelines listed below might help house buyers determine if the property they want to buy complies with Vastu principles.
Rule 1: The land and structure must be oriented north or east
Elysium Abodes project manager Rakesh Patekar pointed out that certain orientations have beneficial effects whereas others have detrimental effects on the house’s residents. “East and north-facing sites are suitable for home development, according to Vastu.” “When planning residences facing west or south, care must be given,” Patekar says.
Rule 2: The land must be rectangular or square in shape
According to experts, the site on which the home is built should be square or rectangular, with the four cardinal directions facing squarely. The ratio between the building’s length and width should ideally be 1:1 or 1:1.5, with a maximum of 1:2. “Home purchasers should avoid plots that are irregular, oval, round, or triangular in form, or if any of the north, east, south, or west corners are missing.” According to Vikash Sethi, CEO and creator of A2ZVastu.com, “a plot with four corners and in a square shape is optimal, subject to compliance with other Vastu standards.”
Rule 3: The shape of the building/structure must follow Vastu guidelines
In Vastu, the ‘Shermukhi’ and ‘Gaumukhi’ forms are significant because they determine the total prosperity and well-being of occupants in a property. A ‘Gaumukhi’ form has a narrow entrance and a broad back, whereas a ‘Shermukhi’ shape has a broad entrance and a narrow back. Gaumukhi is recommended for residential homes, whilst Shermukhi is recommended for commercial ones. Similarly, expanded corners are not deemed ideal for residential structures (save in the north-east).
Rule 4: Furnishings and colours for a house according to Vastu guidelines
Negative energy is emitted by dark colours like black. As a result, avoid using dark colours in your home’s walls, furnishings, flooring, and other areas. Light colours, such as pink, yellow, and orange, emit pleasant energy and may be employed in home interiors in accordance with the construction area’s orientation. For instance, orange is appropriate for the dining room while cream is appropriate for the master bedroom (in the south-west).
