All about Delhi Jal Board

In 1986, the Delhi Legislative Assembly founded the Delhi Jal Board.

The department is now in charge of providing safe and drinkable drinking water to Delhi citizens. Delhi residents must pay for their water connection and use it on a monthly, bi-monthly, or quarterly basis. People normally get their water bill at the start of the next billing cycle. You may, however, check your water bill online via the Delhi Jal Board (DJB) portal and pay it quickly using the DJB website’s payment link. Here’s how to get online access to your Delhi Jal Board water bill and pay it.

The minister directed the Delhi Jal Board to devise river-cleaning initiatives. Other key topics considered during the meeting were water pollution, sewage mixing, and wastewater treatment procedures, among others. The Mukhyamantri Sewage Connection Yojana aims to link all houses to a sewer network by 2022. Wastewater would be piped directly into special sewer connections and released only after treatment. Following that, the Delhi Jal Board would give direct connections to families, bypassing intermediaries.
