About Agra-Gwalior Expressway
If you wish to connect Gwalior to Agra, a new present has arrived for the Gwalior-Chambal region in the form of a six-lane expressway. It is projected that the construction of this limited-access motorway would drastically impact the lives of the residents of Bhind, Morena, Datia, Jhansi, Shivpuri, and Gwalior. During a conversation with the media on Saturday, Union Minister of Aviation and Steel Jyotiraditya Scindia made this statement.
Scindia claimed that a new, 160 km long, 6-lane limited-access highway between Gwalior and Agra, costing about Rs 3,000 crores, has been approved thanks to the exceptional cooperation of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Minister of Transport and Highways of the Government of India, Nitin Gadkari. While thanking Prime Ministers Modi and Gadkari, Scindia mentioned that there has been a need for either enlarging the current roadway or creating a brand new one in light of the excessive strain of delivery at the historic Gwalior-Morena-Dholpur-Agra direction.
After discussions with several authorities, it was decided that a new parallel limited-access highway route needed to be set up to protect the public’s houses and commercial establishments inside the current dual carriageway region.
According to Scindia, the proposed limited-access motorway will be similar to the Lucknow-Agra Expressway and the Yamuna Expressway. According to him, the Gwalior region’s Niravali Tirahe would serve as the starting point for the limited-access expressway, which may be compared to Agra’s Agra-Lucknow Expressway.
