The Western Suburbs is a part of Mumbai, India, that is located on the western side of the city.
Andheri, Bandra, Bhayander, Borivali, Dahisar, Goregaon, Jogeshwari, Juhu, Kandivali, Khar, Malad, Mira Road, Santacruz, and Vile Parle make up the Western Suburbs. Transport

A branch of the Harbour line stops in Goregaon, with plans to extend the line up to Borivali-Bhayander. Bandra Terminus is one of Mumbai’s six long-distance railway stations. The Mumbai Metro’s Line 1 also covers the whole Andheri area. Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport provides bus services (BEST). The Western Suburbs are served by the “200” and “300” series buses. The Western Express Highway (WEH) connects the northernmost suburbs of the Western Suburbs, the Bhayander-Mira Road-Dahisar-Borivali belt, to Vile Parle-Bandra belt, and subsequently Worli and South Mumbai through the Bandra–Worli Sea Link. On its western side, WEH runs parallel to the Western Line.
Social Amenities
Apart from the normal suburban development, this area, particularly around Malad, boasts several lovely beaches. The hot springs at Jogeshwari are said to have therapeutic powers. The Sanjay Gandhi National Park’s entrance lies in Borivali, which is why the wildlife reserve is sometimes known as Borivali National Park. Many software and BPO firms have offices in and around Andheri’s SEEPZ. Juhu Beach is located in the western suburbs. In the evenings, these areas may get highly congested, resulting in significant traffic backups.
