Project’s aim

The Aqua Line Metro project aims at easing the commuting for residents of high-rises in Greater Noida and many others who live in nearby villages and other residential settlements in the proximity of NCR.

This Aqua Line route will extend the metro connectivity into the developing areas whose demography has spiked in the past few years. Metro services are essentially required in this region as the residents of this region are devoid of metro facility due to which they depend on private cars for commuting.

The executive director of the NMRC confirmed that a tender for five metro stations has been issued. Subsequently, the five metro stations are Sector 122, 123, Greater Noida Sector 4, Ecotech 12, and Greater Noida Sector 2. The data stated in the DPR highlights a footfall of a max of 50,000, which has led to certain speculations by the higher authority. The present Aqua-Line commutes over 12,000 passengers on a day-to-day basis.
