Gadkari said that the authorities have approved the construction of a road connecting Haryana to the upcoming Gautam Budh Nagar area of Uttar Pradesh’s Jewar International Airport. According to Gadkari, the street would be constructed using a hybrid annuity method, have a total length of 31.425 kilometers, a 2-year development period, and connect Agra, Mathura, and West UP.
Gadkari said on Wednesday that the completion date for the new six-lane tunnel at Khambatki Ghat on the Pune-Satara Highway is anticipated to be in March of 2019. According to the union minister, the United States is seeing spectacular infrastructure development under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi as “Prosperity Through Connectivity” is being realized. New India, he said, requires an infrastructure of the highest caliber.
Gadkari noted that the existing “S” curve in the Satara–Pune route could be completed soon, which could result in a significant reduction in coincidence risks. He also noted that the tunnel is a dual tunnel with three lanes every six kilometers and that the total project cost is approximately 926 crores.
