Must Have Essentials for Your New Apartment
Essentials for the bedroom
Sleep is vital, so if you’re looking for a new bed for your apartment, you may want to pay a little bit extra to obtain something you know will be comfortable for you. If you can’t afford a high-quality bed right now, a futon or air bed is an excellent place to start. We’ve all been in that situation. Here’s a list of what else you’ll need.
- Sheets: One set is adequate, to begin with, as long as you feel you can scrub them regularly. Get it if you don’t have it already.
- Pillows: Start with one or two.
- Quilt or comforter, as well as a quilt cover
- Lamp
- Dresser, plastic organizers, or under-the-mattress bins are all good options for storage.
- For the closet, hangers, a laundry basket
Kitchenware for the Apartment
Unless you intend on ordering takeout every night (and let me tell you, it adds up quickly), you’ll want to make use of your new kitchen. Unfortunately, without the fundamentals, you won’t be able to do anything. Add as much as you like, but make sure you have those from the start.
- Cooking utensils: One large or medium frying pan; one tiny pot; one large pot
- A dish that may be used in the oven: 1 casserole dish, medium or large
- Sheets for baking: 1 cookie sheet (large or medium)
- Dishes: Bowls and plates
- Forks, knives, and spoons are examples of flatware
Bathroom essentials
Aside from your basic amenities (toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, shampoo, body wash, etc), you’ll also want certain items to keep your bathroom tidy and functioning.
- To begin, two bath towels are required.
- Then, two hand/face towels are required.
- If required, use a shower curtain and liner.
- If the wall hook is no longer available,
- Toothbrush holder or case: A simple plastic cup would suffice; simply wash it regularly.
- Bathmat
- Brush for the toilet
- Plunger
- a roll of toilet paper
- Can with a small capacity
