Revamping Roadways: Gadkari Inaugurates Rs 3,300 Cr Highway Projects in Lucknow!
Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari inaugurated two highway projects in Lucknow on July 18, 2023. The projects are:
- Four-laning of the Lucknow-Sitapur section of NH-24: The project has been completed at a cost of Rs 2,050 crore. The four-laning will reduce travel time between Lucknow and Sitapur from two hours to one hour.
- Construction of a new bridge on the Gomti River: The bridge has been constructed at a cost of Rs 1,250 crore. The bridge will connect Lucknow and Raebareli and will reduce travel time between the two cities from two hours to one hour.
The two projects are part of the government’s efforts to improve road connectivity in Uttar Pradesh. The projects are expected to boost economic activity in the region and improve connectivity between Lucknow and other parts of the state.
In his speech, Gadkari said that the government is committed to developing Uttar Pradesh into a major economic hub. He said that the state has a lot of potential for growth and that the government is working to tap this potential.
