The Kochi Metro is India’s eighth intercity metro rail system. It stretches about 13 kilometers and cost Rs 5,181 crore to build. It covers a distance of 25 kilometers and has 22 stops. Prime Minister Narendra Modi was the first to ride the metro from Palarivattom to Pathadippalam, after which he went to the Jawaharlal Nehru International Stadium for the inauguration.
