The city of Nashik has proposed a property tax exemption for green constructions
Green homes that produce no waste may be eligible for a 1% property tax rebate beginning in the following fiscal year. Housing societies that compost or biogas flora receive the refund, according to municipal commissioner Kailas Jadhav.
If homeowners build a compost plant to deal with garbage, the weight of garbage will be reduced at the civic frame. It is suggested that the compost made from garbage might be used in gardens, nurseries, and terrace gardens.A proposal in this regard will be swiftly filed for approval inside the Nashik Municipal Corporation’s (NMC) popular frame assembly.Currently, the civic frame uses its garbage collection vans to perform door-to-door collections of family waste from throughout the town.
According to an NMC official, customers who use solar water heaters already get a 1% tax break ontheir belongings. The NMC is currently collecting 600 metric tonnes of garbage per day and transferring it to the Pathardi facility on the outskirts of town with 262 garbage series vans.
At the Pathardi facility, the need to reduce the load is a must. The weight of collecting and transporting garbage at the Nashik civic frame will be much reduced if housing societies begin treating strong and moist trash on their premises.
Nashik is divided into six sections: East Nashik, West Nashik, Panchavati, Nashik Road, Satpur, and CIDCO. The current garbage series contractors reached an agreement in December 2021, which allows you to avoid causing difficulty to the citizens by giving them an extension until March. The framework for appointing new contractors is already in place inside the municipal management, and the smooth system is nearing completion.
