Tips to design a beautiful study corner

Many studies have found that the place you choose to study affects how you remember the information. This is a known fact by most students as they have tried to read out loud in every corner of the house possible. 

Having a study corner or a study place in your house is an added bonus. A lot of home decor items include things around your study place. This is because a study corner can help you stay focused and organized while understanding concepts.

• Pick a place If you assign one room as your study corner or study place, your brain will register it. Soon, you will enter into a study mode which comes in handy before an important test. Moving between libraries or other places in your home while studying can be mentally exhausting. Hence, it is essential to pick a study corner. Ensure that the place is somewhere next to or in your room and is a little far away from your bed. 
• Comfortable seating with a desk Buying a desk for your study place is essential and your home decor/study place is incomplete without a desk. But purchasing a desk that isn’t too uncomfortable is even more important. When you sit at your desk for hours at a stretch, you wouldn’t want to be feeling uncomfortable as it would affect your productivity.  Make sure to choose desks that have ample leg space and also are well-finished. Apart from your desk, choosing a comfortable chair is equally essential. Ensure to choose a chair that matches and blends with your room and desk.
• Shelf it up Having shelves close to or on top of your study table is very important. If you are a student, you will have a lot of study material and it is important to keep all the study material together as it makes it accessible when needed. Apart from keeping your books, shelves can also be used to store printers/ scanners. 
• Lights and more lights A study corner without proper lighting isn’t a study place. If possible, set your study corner near a window, this will allow sunlight to come in. Natural light changes the whole appearance and helps you concentrate on whatever you are doing. Make it a point to install the right lights as they will decide and set your mood.
• Use plants Houseplants improve the quality of the air and having something green indoors makes a space more lively. Buying a low-maintenance houseplant as home decor for your study corner can prove beneficial.
• Stationary and its right usage Using stationary around your study corner will help jazz up the whole place. Use a few note pads, sketch pens, sticky notes, etc to make it look attractive. All of these stationary items will also make you want to study.

Use your personal touch while designing your study place. Your study corner should be in accordance with your comfort level. You can use your favorite colors to decorate the walls behind it.
