What is PM Kisan’s advantage?

On February 24, 2019, Prime Minister Narendra Modi introduced the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, also known as the PM Kisan plan. The plan provides land-owning farmers in India with a monetary subsidy of Rs 6,000 per year. This PM Kisan benefit is only available to qualified farmers in India.

PM Kisan gains

Every enrolled farmer receives Rs 6,000 as part of the PM Kisan benefit via direct benefit transfer. The PM Kisan benefit, on the other hand, is distributed in three equal payments of Rs 2,000 over the course of the year. According to media sources, the government is considering boosting the subsidy amount under the PM Kisan benefit to Rs 8,000 per year due to an increase in farm input costs due to rising inflation. Farmers will receive Rs 8,000 as a PM Kisan incentive in four equal installments if this occurs.

When will farmers receive the PM Kisan benefit?

Each instalment amount under the PM Kisan benefit is transferred directly into the bank accounts of farmers across the country every four months.

Every year, the first installment is issued between April and July. The second is spread throughout the months of August and November. The third installment will be available between December and March.
