-Headquartered in New Delhi, CGEWHO [Central Government Employees Welfare Housing Organisation] is registered as a society under the Societies Registration Act, 1860. It was formed under the aegis of the Ministry of Urban Development and Poverty Alleviation, Government of India. It was set up for promoting, controlling, and coordinating the development of houses at selected places across India, on no profit-no loss basis as a welfare measure. It has completed many schemes in Chennai, Nerul and Kharghar, Panchkula, Kolkata, Noida, Gurgaon, Chandigarh, Bangalore, Hyderabad, and Pimpri-Chinchwad.
